Rainezra–also know as Rain Pollock–is a Musician, Educator, and Business Owner currently residing in Portland, Oregon. Rainezra performs, produces, and writes her own material with many r&b/soul influences such as Alicia Keys, Musiq Soulchild, Jojo and production influences like Timbaland. After performing at every school talent show and even at her own graduation, Rainezra began performing on bigger stages and in competitions such as Teen Idol. After high school, she moved onto wineries, restaurants, and popular live music venues such as Paris Theater, McMenamins, The Old Church, and Jack London.
This Album "Responsibilities" is a huge mile stone for Rainezra's career as she produces and collaborates with talented artists she has met in the city of Portland.
In 2018, Rainezra began working for Ethos Music Center in Portland, Oregon. This Non-profit organization school provides music education prioritised to youth. While teaching private lessons, group classes, and summer camps, Rain also enjoyed arranging and directing acapella. Her first arrangement, along with first time teaching, was a song she had wrote for her sixth grade choir class. Rain went on to directing her high school acapella group High Altotude even after she graduated. She is now competing in the ICCA’s with PSU’s The Green Note after winning first place in quarterfinals with an a song she co-arranged.
When the Pandemic hit in 2020, a lot of musicians and local businesses struggled financially to keep their jobs. Rain teamed up with Ebony White, a friend she had met as a board member of the PDX Hip Hop Collective, to create a solution to these problems. After organizing a couple livestreams and teaming up with local businesses to get promo opportunities in exchange for sponsorships, Ladies of the Rose was born. The business quickly evolved from event coordinating to a hub for community and local musicians and business to thrive and network using music as a vehicle.
