Getting Here & Parking
We’re located in NE Portland’s King Neighborhood, 2 blocks west of MLK Blvd on Alberta. Parking near the venue is extremely limited. We highly recommend using rideshare services (Uber/Lyft) or public transportation (nearby lines include 6, 44, and 72).
If you do drive, please be mindful of our neighbors and avoid blocking driveways.
For late shows, patrons can utilize free off-street parking in the Natural Grocer’s lot, located at MLK and Alberta Street, after 8:00pm.
Bike racks are available in front of the main entrance and there is a Biketown rack just a couple blocks away.
Lost and Found
Items left behind at The Abbey will be kept for a month as a courtesy, after which point any unclaimed items will be donated. Please email info@albertaabbey.org to inquire about lost items.
Accessibility
Accessible parking is available on the Mallory Avenue side of the building. The Mallory Avenue entrance is ramped and leads into the main theater. Our main theater, café, and main floor bathroom are all fully accessible.
At this time, our ballroom is located at the bottom of a flight of stairs and is not yet ADA-accessible. As a historic building, we face unique challenges in our renovations, but we are actively working toward making all of our spaces accessible to everyone. Your support helps bring us closer to making that a reality.
Food/Beverage
The Abbey has beer, wine, liquor, and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase. Pizza is available for purchase at most public events, limited events feature partnerships with local caterers. For private rentals please check with the organizing body about food and beverage arrangements.
