My name is John. I went to Burning Man solo in 1997. Influenced by what I experienced, I started MarchFourth Marching Band (aka MarchFourth) in 2003 with some friends in the Alberta Neighborhood (aka Alberta Arts District). We played Burning Man in 2003 and 2004. In 2005 we weren’t available as a band, so those of us who did go performed at Center Camp as “The Saloon Ensemble,” and Lo! Another band was born. Both projects have evolved over time, but are coming together at the Alberta Abbey for one special night of music and madness. This will also be a fundraiser to help send MarchFourth back to Black Rock City for the first time since 2013, and most of our current members have never been! It’s time for the new band to go back to our roots. More cowbell!
