"Sparking Creativity" is a mini-documentary series that showcases the artists who light up the night with their incredible installations. Each episode takes viewers into the studios of these artists, providing a behind-the-scenes look at how the art is created and revealing stories that go beyond the artist's statement. The series is unique because each episode allows a different filmmaker to tell the story in their own way, leading to engaging and diverse storytelling styles.
This event is the first made possible by a grant provided by Spirit Mountain Community Fund. We aim for this to be the beginning of a series of events that encourage people to connect and activate the exciting ideas that often emerge in creative mixers. Portland has a vibrant arts community, and we want to help initiate conversations that lead to actionable collaborations, supporting all artists in creating work that is greater than the sum of its parts.
