Weeed

WEEED is a quintet of experimental musicians on double drum sets, percussion, bass, guitar, flute, synthesizers, vocal harmony, and ambient live looping. They are from Portland, Oregon, formed in 2009.

Mouth Painter

Comprising Barry Walker, Jr. (guitar, pedal steel, vocals), Valerie Osterberg (flute, saw, percussion, effects, vocals), Jason Willmon (bass), and Ben Dahmes (drums, keys), Mouth Painter’s music is at the intersection of country/folk, cosmic, and exotica, blending the lines of tradition and experimentation. Their music is influenced by many sources past and present, including the sounds of nature, the geologic continuum, and the likes of Merle Haggard, Keith Whitley, Delia Derbyshire, Inoyamaland, new age cassette rips on youtube, etc. Mouth Painter has its roots in the music and art that has come before us, and they are continually striving to make new kinds of music, for the future.
